Sachi Maclachlan

owner, baker, glazer, genius

Sachi Maclachlan is an East Coast-raised lifelong vegetarian. Not only does she bring about Hawai‘i’s only local and favorite plant-based yeast donuts, but she is also the mother to Uma, who was recently born in May 2022 (!!!), Rosie, her adorable rescued dog, and a wife to Keenan, the one and only fry man. On the weekends, Sachi rises way before the sun and doesnʻt stop working until Monday.

Sachi spent 10 years in the film industry in the big New York City before she moved to Hawaiʻi in 2019. Only a year later, when the pandemic began to strike, Little Vessels Donut Co. was born.

Meet the Team

AFTER ALL, WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS

  • The OG Keenan, fry guy/dishwasher/comedian, and baker/glazer/owner/genius, Sachi. They began Little Vessels Donut Co. out of their apartment, taking small orders via DM on Instagram. They quickly gained popularity and began working out of a kitchen in Kaimuki, where they are able to fulfill more orders.

  • Originally from Southern California, Jonny is a former savory cook turned baker. He began focusing on baking in 2019, went on to build the food and pastry program at The Curb in Kaimuki starting in 2021, and launched his own baking business Lovejoy’s Bakery in early 2025. He joined the Little Vessels Co. team shortly after to continue growing his craft and explore new approaches to plant-based baking.

Jonny is a recent first-time father, and in what little free time he has, he likes to spend it reading, eating at small local restaurants with his 2-year-old and wife, and spending time anywhere outside where they can just enjoy time together with no agenda.

  • Samantha is 31 and lives in Makiki. She is a graduate of Kapi‘olani Community College in the Pastry Arts program. She joined the Little Vessels team in January 2022 for the love of playing with dough and to expand her knowledge of different types of dough. Even though she’s not vegan, she is an aspiring baker who feels it is equally important to understand vegan baking as much as non-vegan baking, not only on a theoretical level but on a physical one too. She looks forward to the opportunities to grow with the Little Vessels team and is eager to see where they go.

  • My name is Taylor, I’m 23 years old and I moved to Oahu back in 2020 for school. I’ve since graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a BA in Environmental Studies, left Oahu to go live abroad in Spain for a year and moved backed recently in January 2025! Some of my hobbies include surfing, hiking, baking, reading, and working out. On the weekends you can find me shopping at a farmers market, beaching, studying(for law school), and cooking new meals. I’ve always enjoyed baking and am super excited to finally be working in a kitchen setting! I like to consider myself a part time vegan thanks to the influence of my close friends! One random fact about me is I have visited 20 countries!

  • Jackie (They/She) is a working class artist and single mother to a neurodivergent child. Jackie sees donut glazing as an art practice that results in something delicious; the best of both worlds for an artist with a Taurus moon. To Jackie, Little Vessels rests in the balance between creating beauty and addressing hunger— all within the heart of the Kaimuki community she lives in. Jackie is happy to add “glaze” to the list of art supplies she loves to work with.
